Overview
Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC) has locations in Othello and the Central District. Services at the clinics include pediatric medical care, behavioral health, dental services, nutrition, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and more. Since 1970, OBCC has worked to uphold the vision of community organizer Odessa Brown: to bring quality healthcare with dignity to children from birth to young adulthood in the Central District and south Seattle.
Responsibilities- The primary function of the Registration Coordinator is to create new registrations and check patients in for scheduled and walk-in clinical visits throughout the outpatient setting of the hospital.
- Provide support for patient facing registration to ensure each encounter is positive, professional, and efficient.
- Support may be needed for Urgent Care, Radiology, and Access Clinic check-ins, operating seven days per week, during both day and evening times.
- Schedule patient return visit appointments.
- Minimize clinic access delays and effectively communicate with patients/families.
- Inform of and collect signed consent for care; maintain infection prevention standards; establish systems and resources to improve processes and efficiency of the patient experience.
- Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum of one (1) year customer service and/or administrative support experience.
- Required Credentials: Not specified beyond education/experience above.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a health care setting or related field. Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment. Familiarity with other cultures/bilingual skills.
- Compensation Range: $23.15 – $34.73 per hour
- Salary Information: This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
