Dietary Manager

Hello, Cascades es is looking for a dedicated Dietary Manager with a passion for providing nutritious and delicious meals to our nursing home residents. We need an experienced professional to lead our dietary department and ensure the highest standards of nutrition and dining satisfaction for our residents.

• Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities of the dietary department, including purchasing and meal production.
• Direct and supervise all dietary personnel including hiring/firing, orientation, training, work schedules, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure the food service production and storage areas are safe and sanitary.
• Responsible for all nutritional documentation in the electronic health record.
• Work with the facility Administrator to maintain budgetary and inventory guidelines and goals.
• Regularly participate in department head meetings.
• Oversee menus that meet nutritional needs and residents' preferences.
• This role includes four days per week working as a cook and one day per week performing office duties.

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or equivalent certification required
• Strong understanding of Federal, State, and local rules and regulations regarding nursing home dietary requirements
• Prior food service experience in a long-term care setting is highly preferred
• Minimum one-year prior supervisory experience is prefered
