Compact license accepted

Certifications:

ACLS, BLS, CCI RCIS required

Must-Have:
- Experience in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
- Cardiac Stent Placement
- Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult)
- IABP Placement/Removal
- Impella Insertion
- Left Heart Catheterization
- Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
- Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
- Right Heart Catheterization
- Temporary Pacemaker
- Ventricular Assist Device Insertion

- Experience with Fluoroscopy

Description:

Perm candidates from any other facility are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months.
All facilities honor active compact licenses.
Call is required; typically involves 6 evenings and one weekend every 6 weeks.
Must be prepared to respond within 30 minutes of call back.
Medication system used is Pyxis.
Documentation systems include EPIC and McKesson.
Communication method is SBAR.
Unit has 3 cath labs and a hybrid OR.
Required procedural responsibilities include accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, prepping access sites, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias.
Role also includes maintaining a sterile field and utilizing vascular closure systems.
Knowledge of isolation precautions is required.
Preferred skills include use of rapid response teams and additional specialized procedures.
Unit supports interdisciplinary services such as respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
Candidate must have reliable transportation for on-call responsibilities.
Housing should be secured before accepting the position.
Compliance with onboarding items must be completed promptly.
