Key Responsibilities

Under the direction of ORL’s Clinical Services Supervisors, the Consultant is responsible for designing and supervising the implementation of ORL clients' Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs in line with best practices, applicable regulatory guidelines, and funding source guidelines. The role leverages skills in treatment planning, assessment interpretation, staff supervision, and family coaching as demonstrated through prior leadership roles.

ORL Consultant Essential and Core

Job Duties
  • Generate measurable progress in all areas of the client’s needs
  • Design & direct behavior intervention and behavior support programs based on accurate data: comprehensive measures: macros, meta, and micro performance data, fidelity of implementation, and family/school reports, prioritizing client and family values in the process
  • Remain current with the extant and newly emerging research related to the behavior-analytic care of persons with autism
  • Select, administer, and independently interpret standardized assessments.
  • Develop compliant and comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Designs and directthe use of comprehensive measurement systems for intervention analysis.
  • Synthesize family perception with quantitative measures for a complete assessment of client progress.
  • Coordinate and Collaborate with relevant complementary providers
  • Supervise the Program Manager, directing them to manage and execute specific tasks related to scheduling, documentation, and staff training procedure, to ensure service excellence in accordance with ORL’s compliance standards in all applicable forms

    Learn and follow all funder billing rules and authorization guidelines.

  • Utilize single-subject research designs to address client needs and benefit the field of behavior analysis.
  • Represent ORL by presenting work professionally at national, regional, and local events, and by attending conferences and events
  • Actively ensure Program Managers receive clinical skill and knowledge development opportunities.

* Drive an average of 30 miles per day in Seattle, WA area.

Education & Certifications
  • Master’s degree in behavior analysis or related field.
  • BCBA or BCaBA certification (in good standing).
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst in Washington state.
  • Level B standardized assessment qualification (Pearson).
  • Full or Sustaining Membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., SCS, WABA, CBS, APBA, BABA) with a history of disseminating discoveries.
Experience
  • 3+ years:
    Designing and supervising behavior analytic programs for children with ASD.
  • 2+ years:
    • Implementing Precision Teaching principles, including:
      • Designing instruction for fluent outcomes (Fabrizio & Moors, 2003; Ferris, 2022) with evidence of Retention, Endurance, Stability, and Application (10 standard celeration chart records).
      • Using multiple measurement levels with Standard Celeration Charts for intervention analysis (5 examples of daily, weekly, monthly measures across 5 learners).
      • Measuring three different instructional arrangements with Standard Celeration Charts (5 charts, minimum 3 arrangements).
      • Extending fluent repertoires into natural environments.
      • Maintaining long-term data systems.
      • Designing instruction for social, cognitive, academic, emotional, communication, community, and daily living skills, evidenced by:
        • Expanded work products (instructional materials, systems, training programs).
        • Robust, socially significant client gains (charted learner performance).
