Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region, providing essential respiratory care services within the scope of physician orders. This role involves administering oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation for adult and geriatric patients. You will plan, implement, and evaluate therapy effectiveness while collaborating closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver compassionate and timely respiratory care, assessing patient needs and interpreting test results to develop and administer treatment plans.
- Perform pulmonary function tests and manage respiratory therapy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support patient recovery by administering inhalants, operating ventilators, and monitoring physiological responses.
- Lead and direct respiratory therapy aides and technicians, participate in discharge planning, and educate patients and caregivers on home care programs.
- Contribute to departmental policy development, training programs, and workflow coordination within the care team.
- Associate degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Minimum of two years of acute care respiratory therapy experience.
- Current unrestricted respiratory care practitioner license for the state of employment.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required at hire;
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required within one year. - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care theories and clinical skills, including equipment operation and safety.
- Ability to assess and tailor treatments across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric patients.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and families.
- Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
- Independent judgment, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage diverse responsibilities.
