Diet Clerk; On Call

Job Summary

We are hiring immediately for on‑call Diet Clerk positions.

Location:

Swedish Cherry Hill, 500 17th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122. Applications are accepted online only.

Schedule:

on‑call; days and hours may vary, primarily AM shifts. 1 year of previous customer service experience is preferred. Pay Range: $30.00 per hour to $31.00 per hour.

• Distribute and collect menus.
• Assist patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diet, as assigned by dietitian.
• Offer alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with food allergies or sensitivities, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences when patient inquires or needs additional selections.
• Plan regular and modified menus based on current diet manual.
• Prepare and distribute supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula in an accurate and timely manner.
• May be responsible for the preparation, distribution, inventory and management of human/donor milk and/or infant formula.
• Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient’s rights policies.
• Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state and TJC.
• Complete all required documentation, reports and logs.
• Follow facility and department infection‑control policies and procedures.
• Participate in facility‑wide and department Performance Improvement Program and on performance improvement teams to improve processes and patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
