The Clinical Quality Consultant serves as a strategic leader supporting clinical quality improvement, prevention and screening initiatives, disease management programs, and outcomes optimization across the healthcare enterprise. This role partners with clinical, operational, and technology teams to drive evidence-based practices, improve population health outcomes, enhance quality performance, and advance data-driven care transformation initiatives.

The consultant applies clinical knowledge, quality science, analytics, process improvement methodologies, and healthcare technology solutions to support organizational goals related to preventive care, chronic disease management, clinical outcome performance, and value-based care.

Key job responsibilities

Clinical Quality & Outcomes

- Lead and support clinical quality improvement initiatives across preventive care, screening compliance, and chronic disease management.

- Monitor and analyze quality metrics, clinical outcomes, utilization trends, and performance indicators.

- Identify gaps in care and develop actionable improvement strategies aligned with organizational priorities.

- Support value-based care and population health initiatives through evidence-based interventions.

Prevention & Screening Programs

- Collaborate with clinical teams to improve preventive screening rates and early detection strategies.

- Develop workflows and outreach strategies to increase adherence to evidence-based screening guidelines.

- Support care gap closure initiatives related to preventive and chronic care measures.

Disease Management

- Partner with disease management programs, primary care, specialty care, and operational teams to improve chronic disease outcomes.

- Assist in the development and implementation of disease management pathways and clinical protocols.

- Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend optimization opportunities.

Science, Analytics & Technology

- Utilize clinical data, dashboards, registries, and reporting tools to support quality and operational improvement.

- Translate clinical and operational data into meaningful insights and recommendations.

- Collaborate with informatics and technology teams to enhance quality reporting, decision support, and workflow optimization.

- Support implementation and adoption of digital health, analytics, and technology-enabled quality initiatives.

Strategic Collaboration

- Serve as a consultant and advisor to clinical leaders, operational teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

- Facilitate meetings, presentations, and quality improvement work groups.

- Support organizational readiness for regulatory, accreditation, and quality program requirements.

About the team

Mission of Amazon One Medical Senior Health Quality Improvement team

Driving measurable improvements in clinical quality, preventive care, disease management, and health outcomes through innovation, evidence-based practice, analytics, and technology-enabled transformation.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing, public health, health administration, science, or related field.

- 3+ years of experience in healthcare quality, population health, clinical operations, disease management, or performance improvement.

- Knowledge of preventive care guidelines, quality measures, and healthcare performance metrics.

- Experience with clinical data analysis, reporting tools, and quality improvement methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

- Clinical licensure or certification (RN, PharmD, PA, MPH, etc.).

- Experience with HEDIS, CMS Stars, value-based care, or population health programs. eCQM data submission, CMS payment programs such as MIPS,

- Lean, Six Sigma, CPHQ, PMP, or related certification.

- Experience with EHR systems, analytics platforms, and healthcare technology solutions.
