Job Description
This is a combined posting for an Associate Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant, and Medical Assistant Registered WA. Each position is described below.
Associate Medical AssistantResponsibilities:
The MA I works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to assist in providing basic patient care, performing both administrative and clinical duties as directed.
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands‑on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants.
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
- Upon hire:
Washington Medical Assistant Certification. - Within 30 days of hire:
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association. - Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0–6 months).
- 6 months prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
- 6 months previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Medical AssistantResponsibilities:
The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to assist in providing patient care, performing all aspects of the MA I role and being fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work.
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands‑on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants.
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
- 6 months – Healthcare experience.
- 6 months – Medical Assistant experience.
- National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Medical Assistant Registered WAResponsibilities:
The Career MA-R (Registered) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to assist in providing patient care, performing all aspects of the Associate MA-R role and being fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work.
- Within 60 days of hire:
Washington Medical Assistant Registration. - Within 30 days of hire:
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association. - 6 months – Healthcare experience.
- 6 months – Medical Assistant experience.
- Coursework/Training in Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary, or Health Unit Coordinator/Clerk.
Seattle, WA – Min: $23.30, Max: $34.91
