ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Meal preparation
- Stand‑by assistance
- Medication reminders and assistance
- Companionship (playing games, going for walks, engaging in conversation, etc.)
- Light house chores
- Driving to appointments, running errands, etc.
- Showering, bathing, grooming assistance
- Flexible, great for work/life balance or to make a little extra cash before the holidays
Base rate of $22.00–$23.50 per hour, depending on experience.

This position requires strong time management, interpersonal skills, patience, listening skills, and knowledge of generally accepted care standards. You must communicate effectively in English—verbal and written—across various channels including in-person, phone, email, and text. Experience and tact in communicating with diverse populations are essential. You must maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in stressful situations, and be able to travel locally with reliable transportation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNone. Escalated matters are referred to a Home Care Supervisor or Manager.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCERequires a minimum of six months industry‑related experience. For Washington State employees, a Certified Nursing Assistant (C‑NA), Home Care Aide (HCA), or Home Health Aide (HHA) license is required and must remain in good standing.
CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR REGISTRATIONSRN Delegation certification is highly desired. A valid Washington or Oregon driver’s license, satisfactory driver abstracts, and proof of auto insurance are required for those who drive. Successful completion of pre‑employment and ongoing background checks is mandatory.
COMPUTER SKILLSProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with records management systems such as Well Sky Personal Care.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSModerate physical demands: lift and move up to 20 pounds routinely; occasionally up to 50 pounds and rarely more than 100 pounds when assisting with direct patient care. Required movements include sit, stand, walk, lift, balance, hand use, speaking, hearing, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. May require climbing ladders or stairs.
WORK ENVIRONMENTTypical home or office environment with occasional exposure to indoor or outdoor conditions, potential fumes or odors, and infectious diseases. Noise level is low.
