Position: Full time caregiver needed North Bend

Pay: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour for 8‑hour shifts Monday through Friday.

Job Summary

The Home Care Aide (HCA) will provide services to a partially paralyzed male client living with his wife in a private home in North Bend. Primary duties include personal care, assistance with exercise/therapy, transfers/safety, companion care, and light housekeeping. The role is a long‑term, ongoing assignment covered by worker's compensation insurance.

Essential Functions
  • Personal Care: bathing, dressing, grooming, nail/skin care, back care, foot care, shampoo, oral hygiene, ambulation, transfers, range‑of‑motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheelchair, walker, crutches, cane), change of position, toileting, commode, incontinent care, meal planning, preparation, and assistance with feeding.
  • Companion/Sitter/Household Management: provide companionship and respite services for family; perform homemaking activities including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Transportation: drive clients to medical appointments, errands, visits with family and friends, or outings. May use own vehicle or client vehicle. Valid and up‑to‑date license and insurance required.
  • Medication reminders.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
  • High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Licensed to provide home care in Washington State. For some unlicensed candidates, paid HCA training is available.
  • At least 1 year experience as a Home Care Aide (in homes or facilities) desired, or other applicable experience.
  • Listed in good standing on the Washington DSHS Background Check System.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Valid driver's license and access to an insured automobile or adequate transportation.
  • Experience with specific conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's, etc. a plus.
  • Experience and comfort with holistic/integrative healthcare a plus.
  • All caregivers must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination upon hire.
