SummaryPresbyterian is hiring a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients and deliver a broad range of therapeutic interventions focused on rehabilitating physical and developmental disorders.
Responsibilities- Restore function, independence, and quality of life for patients across a wide range of care settings.
- Hands‑on, collaborative, and deeply impactful—ideal for those who thrive on clinical problem‑solving and meaningful patient connection.
- Require detailed knowledge of physical therapy, including interpretation of data.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific setting.
- Evaluate and treat patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
- Demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served.
- Oversee a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well‑being of the patient.
- Promote patient/caregiver self‑determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
- Coordinate and communicate with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
- Coordinate efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.
- Serve as a patient advocate.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long‑term care, community‑based care, and home health care.
- Less than one year of experience in physical therapy.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy preferred.
