UW MEDICINE ENTERPRISE REVENUE CYCLE (ERC) has an outstanding opportunity for a HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNICIAN 2.
Work Schedule- 100% FTE
- 100% ONSITE – SANDPOINT LOCATION
- Weekdays
- Day shift
- 8 AM-4:30 PM
UW Medicine Enterprise Revenue Cycle (ERC) comprises the Enterprise Records and Health Information (ERHI), Patient Financial Access Services (PFAS), Patient Financial Services (PFS), Revenue Integrity (RI), and Patient Accounts and Support Services (PASS) departments, as well as our ERC Project Management Office (PMO) and the Administration & Operations.
Position HighlightsUnder the general supervision of the Operations Manager, the Health Information Technician 2 is responsible for implementing the mission and goals of the Enterprise Revenue Cycle (ERC), and incorporating information governance principles.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Utilize Right Fax for faxes, printing patient letters, billing records, and medical records in Epic, and shared drive
- Perform day-to-day office operations activities including receiving, sorting, and preparing incoming and outgoing ERC mail
- Prepare and print patient medical records and billing records for Release of Information and Patient Financial Services for mailing
- Track and update release status in Epic comments for printing and mailing patient medical records and billing records
- High School graduate or equivalent including two years’ experience with medical records, or, equivalent education and experience
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
- Knowledge of Epic or Cerner applications
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of medical terminology
$21.63 hourly
Pay Range Maximum:$27.44 hourly
