Position SummaryMedical Assistant – Apprentice, 12‑month paid apprenticeship (non‑exempt). The program offers 2,000 hours of clinical training and structured coursework to prepare apprentices for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam. Apprentices work with experienced care teams in a patient‑centered medical home model, supporting all clinic staff in delivering respectful, high‑quality care.
Responsibilities- Support providers in delivering compassionate, culturally responsive care
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and assist with exams and procedures
- Track clinical quality measures and support care coordination
- Administer immunizations within scope
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes
- High‑school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- CPR certification
- Commitment to completing required coursework
- Dedication to serving diverse and underserved communities
Starting wage: $21.30 per hour.
Hourly work schedule:
Monday – Friday with some weekends.
Full‑time apprentices (30hours or more) receive an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance, long‑term disability, EAP, 24 days of paid time off plus 10 paid holidays, and a 401(k) retirement option.
