We are seeking a highly communicative and detail-oriented Patient Access & Registration Specialist to join our healthcare team in Seattle. Acting as the first point of contact for our patients, you will utilize EPIC Practice Management software to seamlessly coordinate patient registration, appointments, and account management.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced medical delivery environment, possesses outstanding customer service skills, and is deeply committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Locations: Seattle, WA (100% Onsite).
Candidates will be required to work at one of the following campus locations:
- Northgate Campus: 9800 4th Ave NE Seattle, WA 98115
- Capitol Hill Campus: 201 16th Ave E Seattle, WA 98112
Compensation: $25.00 – $27.00/hour
Travel: 0% (Strictly onsite in a patient access building >50% of the time)
Key Responsibilities- Patient Registration & Access:
Perform general patient access duties utilizing EPIC Practice Management software. - Scheduling & Coordination:
Answer incoming telephone calls, schedule patient appointments, process medical referrals, and diligently maintain provider templates. - Data & Account Management:
Verify patient demographics and complex insurance coverage details accurately. - Financial Services:
Perform general patient account management duties, including obtaining prior authorizations for clinical services, processing work queues, and providing patients with accurate fee estimates. - Compliance:
Strictly adhere to all HIPAA regulations and internal patient confidentiality requirements at all times.
- Option 1: Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a business office within a medical care delivery system, hospital, insurance company, or large contact center environment.
- Option 2: Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing excellent, high-volume customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Software Knowledge: Experience utilizing EPIC Practice Management software is highly desired for this role.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic PC skills within a Microsoft Windows environment are required.
- Clerical Metrics: Must possess 10‑key proficiency and a minimum typing speed of 35 WPM
