The Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor provides clinical leadership, supervision, and support to behavioral health clinicians while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered services. This role oversees clinical practices, supports clinician development, maintains quality standards, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to improve behavioral health outcomes. The Clinical Supervisor will also maintain a direct patient caseload while providing guidance and oversight to associate-level and licensed clinicians.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and direction to behavioral health clinicians and associate-level providers.
- Maintain a personal caseload and provide direct behavioral health services to patients.
- Review and approve clinical assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, progress notes, and other documentation.
- Facilitate individual and group clinical supervision meetings.
- Monitor clinician performance, productivity, documentation standards, and compliance with organizational requirements.
- Conduct chart reviews, utilization reviews, and quality assurance audits.
- Support care coordination efforts across outpatient, residential, and integrated healthcare teams.
- Assist with clinician onboarding, training, professional development, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Develop, update, and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ensure behavioral health services comply with state, federal, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
- Promote best practices related to behavioral health treatment, documentation, and patient care.
Active Washington State license as one of the following:
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Equivalent behavioral health license
- Minimum of 4 years of behavioral health experience.
- Previous experience providing clinical supervision to behavioral health staff.
- Knowledge of DSM diagnostic criteria and behavioral health assessment practices.
- Clinical documentation standards.
- Substance Use Disorder (SUD) regulations and certification requirements.
- State and federal behavioral health regulations.
