** WORK SCHEDULE
*** 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
* Monday – Friday; 6:00am-2:30pm
* Day Shift
** POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
** The Patient Services Specialist Supervisor (PSS-Supervisor) oversees various supervisory and administrative non-clinical functions within the department. This role is responsible for leading and supervising staff in the Patient Services Specialist class series, as well as other assigned personnel.
** PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Ensure smooth daily operations and patient safety by prioritizing tasks and managing workflow.
* Oversee staff scheduling, HR data systems, and deliver high-quality customer service.
* Track inventory, submit repair orders, and support departmental quality improvement efforts.
* Supervise and support staff while modeling professional and courteous communication.
* Develop, implement, and maintain organizational systems and unit procedures.
* Collaborate to uphold safety standards, infection control, and emergency protocols.
* Advocate for patients and families, ensuring privacy, dignity, and cultural sensitivity.
* Foster teamwork across departments and represent the unit in meetings and committees.
* Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, hospital policies, and Epic ADT systems.
* Lead and participate in training, continuing education, and professional development.
* Demonstrate strong coordination, multitasking, and leadership skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience working with diverse populations.
** REQUIREMENTS
* ** Bachelor’s degree in a medically related or public relations field
* Four years of experience as a Patient Services Specialist
* An equivalent combination of four years’ experience as a Patient Services Specialist, a UW Supervisory Skill Certificate, and education/experience may substitute for stated requirements

** Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
**** Pay Range Minimum:**$27.17 hourly
** Pay Range Maximum:**$38.86 hourly
** Other Compensation:
** Evening Shift Differential: $1.75 per hour Night Shift Differential: $2.50 per hour Weekend Differential: $2.00 per hour
