Responsibilities
  • Oversee study startup at community sites, working closely with central teams to move studies from feasibility through activation.
  • Ensure research protocols are carried out smoothly across the full study lifecycle, from feasibility to closeout.
  • Support integration of research activities into everyday clinical workflows to minimize disruption to patient care.
  • Ensure adequate participant coverage and engagement across community sites by monitoring enrollment capacity, supporting recruitment and retention strategies, and proactively addressing barriers to participant access and study participation.
  • Maintain appropriate research staff coverage across community locations by forecasting resource needs, coordinating cross‑site support, managing workload distribution, and developing contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted study conduct during staff absences, turnover, or periods of increased demand.
  • Manage and support site‑based research staff (coordinators and data roles) to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community providers, site leadership, and external partners (e.g., sponsors, CROs).
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures, promoting consistency across locations and alignment with clinical trial coordination.
  • Plan staffing and support hiring, onboarding, and development of research staff at community locations.
  • Monitor performance, identify issues, and implement improvements to site operations, quality, and efficiency.
  • Track and report key metrics (e.g., startup timelines, enrollment, data quality) and ensure compliance with all regulatory and institutional requirements.
