Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical assessment to identify patient needs and appropriateness of occupational therapy services
  • Plan, implement, and revise a Plan of Care; document progress notes and other clinical records
  • Assess range of motion, strength, coordination; evaluate need for adaptive equipment and environmental modifications; support functional mobility and safety for ADL performance
  • Fabricate and maintain adaptive equipment and hand splints; evaluate patient occupational performance across self-care, work, leisure, and rest
  • Assess sensory-motor, psycho-social and cognitive-perceptual components of occupational behavior; consider physical, social, and cultural factors of the patient’s environment
  • Apply infection control and universal precautions; collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional team; communicate necessary patient information while protecting confidentiality
  • Document procedures, organize and analyze data, maintain accurate records; troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on equipment
Requirements
  • Current state license as an Occupational Therapist
    - Required
  • Proof of current CPR certification
    - Required
  • Current driver's license
    - Required
  • Reliable transportation and insurance
    - Required
  • Two years experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting
    - Required
  • Education:

    Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
