Pulmonary Function Technologist

UWMC - Montlake Respiratory Care has an outstanding opportunity to hire a Pulmonary Function Technologist for their Lung Function Testing Clinic.

Work Schedule

  • Part-time
  • 30 hours per week

Position Highlights

  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and assist with the operation of the Lung Function Testing department.
  • Works under the supervision of the department Manager.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Provides routine respiratory care.
  • Proficient in all clinical aspects of patient care.
  • Proficient in all technical aspects of diagnostic equipment and procedures.
  • Coordinates patient scheduling with other departments, physicians, and staff requests.
  • Maintains department policies and procedures.
  • Prepares reports for physician and regulatory body review.
  • Coordinates and schedules technicians for the LFT lab.
  • Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and set up pulmonary function equipment.
  • Educates patients, families, and other staff members on pulmonary diagnostic procedures and equipment.

Required Position Qualifications

  • Completion of a respiratory care program approved by the State of Washington Department of Health OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State of Washington.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a PFT or work within a Lung Function Testing department.

Pay Range Minimum: $40.96 hourly

Pay Range Maximum: $64.06 hourly
