PAML a Labcorp company is seeking a  
** Grossing Technician
** to join our team in Tukwila, WA

*
* Work Schedule:

** Monday - Friday 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm overtime and rotating weekends may be required

** Job Responsibilities*
* + Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria

+ Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures

+ Perform technical duties related to the production of histopathological slides

+ Specialize in the accurate gross description and dissection of surgical specimens

+ Diagram pertinent gross specimens as necessary

+ Prepare sections of human tissue for pathologist diagnostic study

+ Operate laboratory instruments to properly display specimens

+ Perform equipment maintenance as needed

+ Record equipment log data in an accurate and timely manner

+ Comply with applicable safety procedures and protocol

+ Effectively communicate with histology team members

** Minimum Qualifications*
* + Associate's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology

+ ASCP or AMT certification

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + 3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience

+ 3 months or more of grossing experience

** Additional Job Standards*
* + In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements

+ Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures

+ Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment

+ Ability to work independently and within a team environment

+ Proficient with computers;
Familiarity with laboratory information systems

+ High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills

+ Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position

+ Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

+ Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs

** Pay Range:**  $25.85 - $37.05 per hour

Plus Shift 2 Differentials

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

** Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including:
