Position SummarySea Mar Behavioral Health Services seeks a full‑time Substance Use Disorder Clinical Supervisor for Turning Point, our inpatient adult treatment facility in Seattle. The role supervises clinical staff, interns, trains employees, plans and directs work, assists Program Manager with hiring and performance appraisals, rewards and disciplines employees, addresses complaints, ensures contract compliance, carries a small caseload of clients, and must hold a certification from the Department of Health as a Chemical Dependency Professional.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Ensure the SUD program complies with WACs, RCWs, and other pertinent laws, regulations, and contracts.
- Create and coordinate public relations materials.
- Attend networking meetings and maintain working relationships with community organizations across counties.
- Identify and categorize each patient’s age‑specific groupings of needs, e.g., for infant, adolescent, or geriatric patients.
- Review and approve clinicians’ clinical documentation in Cerner, as appropriate.
- Assist with the development of the program at outpatient SUD sites.
- Provide clinical supervision and training to CDP trainees.
- Work with the VP of Behavioral Health and/or BH Regional Director to develop plans and implement outpatient SUD treatment content across assigned counties and/or department wide.
- Ensure staff maintain accurate and current records on each patient in accordance with the problem‑oriented records system and the facility’s procedures.
- Ensure the facility’s patient records system complies with WAC 388‑805.
- Participate in quality improvement activities for the site, including clinical site audits for the SUD program.
- This is not a complete list of duties; other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to differentiate between SUD issues alone and those complicated by concurrent mental illness.
- Ability to develop treatment plans based on assessments.
- Ability to work effectively with all persons and groups with an open mind toward cultural differences and knowledge of cultures.
- Understanding of chemical dependency treatment and ability to coordinate mental health services with chemical dependency treatment providers.
- Must sign a permanent oath of confidentiality covering all patient‑related information.
- Must pass a Washington State Patrol background check.
- Must hold a certification from the Department of Health as a Chemical Dependency Professional.
- Must have at least two years of supervisory experience with CDPs/T’s.
- Must have and maintain a current CPR certification; if not active at hire, obtain within 90 days.
- Must have and maintain an active First Aid certification.
