Emergency Department RN – Emergency Department
Schedule:
- Shift start times: 07:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 19:00 - Weekends: required (every other weekend) - Holidays:
Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays:
Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required
- Travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted) - Active compact license
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Provide patient care in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
- Manage airway, including advanced airway procedures.
- Perform emergency interventions, such as resuscitation and procedural sedation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and interpret diagnostic tests, including 12-lead ECGs.
Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 12 hours
- Floating to sister facilities may be required; refusal may result in termination/forfeiture of hours.
- Time-off requests must be submitted up-front during submittal.
