*** Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
* Monday-Friday
* Day Shift
** DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION*
* ** Neurology Clinic:
** Treats complex disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems, located in the Ninth & Jefferson building.
** General Surgery Clinic:
** Handles pre- and post-operative care, wound management, and minor procedures.
** Neurology Clinic:
** Treats complex disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems, located in the Ninth & Jefferson building.
** Rheumatology Clinic:
** Manages autoimmune and inflammatory diseases such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.
** Urology Clinic:
** Provides a wide variety of care and services to adults with urinary tract problems, including acute and chronic urinary incontinence, bladder dysfunction, kidney stones and related conditions.

** PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
* Perform injections
* Prepare and clean exam rooms
* Submit medication prior authorizations
* Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately report to provider
* Act as a liaison between patient, patient’s family and providers
* Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
* Perform point of care testing and report abnormal laboratory values
* Assist in transporting patients as required

* ** Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalent
