Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 1+ year of IR experience for a Day shift assignment requiring ARRT-R certification and WA state license.

    Setting is a hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit
  • Patient population includes biopsies, GI, GU/Renal, peripheral vascular, pulmonary, CT, and endovascular lab cases
  • Patient mix is approximately 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient
  • Uses Pyxis medication system and Epic for documentation
  • Equipment includes CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, Siemens and Philips systems
  • 4x10 hour Day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Call requirements include 2 full weekends in a 6-week period and 9 weeknights
  • May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of IR experience required
  • BLS and ARRT-R certification required, ACLS preferred
  • WA state license required if applicable
  • Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with Y-90 chemo delivery, GI bleeds, TPA administration, vein sampling, Phase 2 recovery, and cryoablation procedures required
  • Proficiency in vascular and genitourinary procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, nephrostomy, and IVC filter placement
  • Skilled in venous access including PICC line care, central venous access, and port management
  • Knowledge of sterile technique, infection control, and isolation precautions/PPE required
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include equipment setup, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain a sterile field
  • Perform vascular closure using Perclose or Star Close systems
  • Monitor patients for life-threatening arrhythmias and manage vascular access sites
  • Maintain and stock IR equipment and supplies
  • First-time travelers accepted for this position
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
  • Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including dates and location
  • Former Providence permanent employees must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
  • Local candidates within 50 miles may be accepted at a lower bill rate
