Infectious Disease Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

This position is open to local and non-local candidates. This is a temp to hire opportunity.

Schedule:

5x8hr,  (Monday - Friday // off weekends)

Experience:

6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic setting

Skills required:

Vital signs (height/weight, obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, obtain vital signs, pulse oximetry, vision testing), prepare for exam (positioning/draping, record history/medications/allergies), set up & assist with procedures (dressing change, pap smear, set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays), injections (immunizations, intradermal, intramuscular), specimen collection (labeling of specimens, sputum, stool, throat, urine - UA/clean catch, vaginal, wound), laboratory tests (strep, urine dipstick/urinalysis), office duties (authorization forms, chart preparation, insurance verification, ordering supplies, pharmacy calls/patient refill requests, scheduling appointments, stocking supplies, telephone triage), professional skills & knowledge (administering medication, administration of TB test, aseptic technique, follow up phone calls, review lab tests, rooming, patients, suture removal, wound care)

Certs required: BLS

License required: MA-C
