Job Description

Under the supervision and direction of the Health Center Manager, provides support to patients and co-workers by performing, with accuracy and timeliness, a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in different areas of the health center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responding to patient requests and coordinating services with appropriate personnel or departments.
  • Assisting patients with insurance information, entering visit data into affiliate systems, and completing patient records.
  • Providing non-judgmental, client-centered care and accurate information through answering questions and offering resources.
  • Utilizing comprehensive knowledge of birth control methods and reproductive health services to provide patient education, including Planned Parenthood Patient Education Sheets (PES) and Informed Consent Forms (ICF).
  • Offering Planned Parenthood services or community resources for identified patient needs.
  • Conducting patient check-in including income screening, explaining funding and payment options, and referrals for health insurance enrollment assistance.
  • Maintaining patient accounts and records, updating personal and financial information.
  • Collecting patient payments and soliciting donations while following organizational guidelines to improve collections and minimize uncompensated care.
  • Acting as a resource for staff members and supporting ongoing learning and development of the staff team.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection and exposure control procedures, OSHA, WISHA, CLIA, PPFA, and affiliate policies.
  • Keeping appointments on schedule through ongoing communication with PCTL, clinicians, and the health center manager.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • One to two years’ experience in a medical setting.
  • Travel to other health centers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with reproductive healthcare in a clinical office or hospital setting with knowledge of EHR.
Salary Range

$21.30 - $26.47 hourly

Position Type

Full-time – Mon - Friday
