Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) – Case Manager

Telecare FPATH #269 is seeking a Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) who wants to do meaningful, hands-on work with adults living with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use challenges.

This is not a traditional office-based counseling position. You will work directly with members in the community, helping them address substance use, behavioral health needs, housing, healthcare, daily living needs, and other barriers that can impact long-term stability.

Using a harm-reduction, recovery-focused approach, you will meet people where they are, build relationships over time, and help members identify and work toward recovery goals that are meaningful to them.

Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week

Schedules vary based on program and member needs. Typical scheduling includes:

  Generally begin between 8:00–9:00 AM and end between 5:00–6:00 PM
• Afternoon/Evening:
  Approximately one later shift per month, generally 11:00 AM–7:30/8:00 PM
• Weekend Requirement:
  Approximately one weekend shift per month, typically 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Holiday coverage is shared based on program needs

Expected Starting Wage: $26.46 – $32.69/hour Full Wage Range:
Up to $38.93/hour

Starting pay is based on relevant experience above the minimum qualifications and applicable geographic differentials.

As the team's certified Substance Use Disorder Professional and Case Manager, you will help adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use challenges build greater stability and independence.

You will:

• Provide substance use counseling, education, recovery support, and case management
• Build relationships with individuals who may have struggled to engage in traditional treatment
• Use harm reduction, motivational, and recovery-oriented approaches to support change
• Help members identify their own goals related to substance use, mental health, housing, relationships, health, and independence
• Meet members in their homes and throughout the community
• Connect individuals with housing, healthcare, benefits, treatment, and community resources
• Help members strengthen daily living and community integration skills
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
• Support individuals experiencing complex behavioral health and social needs
• Advocate for members while helping them strengthen their own self-advocacy skills

This program does not provide detoxification services. The focus is rehabilitation, harm reduction, engagement, stability, and long-term recovery.

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) credential
• At least six (6) months of experience working in an addictions/substance use setting
• Ability and willingness to provide services throughout the community

Because this is a community-based position, you must have a reliable personal vehicle and be willing to use it for work, including transporting members served.

You must have:

• Current driver's license
• Personal auto insurance with your name listed as a driver
• Current vehicle registration
• A vehicle that can successfully pass a Telecare-paid safety inspection

Business mileage is reimbursed at the current federal mileage reimbursement rate.

FPATH is a community-based behavioral health program serving adults living with serious mental illness, including individuals experiencing co-occurring substance use challenges and complex barriers to stability.

Rather than expecting members to navigate recovery alone or receive all services in a traditional office setting, our team brings support directly into the community.
