Position: MA / Medical Assistant - Primary Care at Fremont

Job Title

Medical Assistant – Certified (MA‑C)

Work Schedule
  • Full‑time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
  • Monday–Wednesday, Friday 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (30‑minute meal break)
  • Rotating Saturday shifts (about one per month)
  • Day shift
Primary Responsibilities
  • Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
  • Perform injections
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms
  • Submit medication prior authorizations
  • Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately report to provider
  • Act as a liaison between patient, patient’s family and providers
  • Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
  • Perform point‑of‑care testing and report abnormal laboratory values
  • Assist in transporting patients as required
Qualifications
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or another recognized regional or national accreditation board or equivalent
  • Must be Washington State Medical Assistant‑Certified or achieve this designation within six months of hire. Failure to achieve or maintain the designation will result in termination of employment
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers CPR card
Compensation

Pay range: $28.00 to $40.06 per hour
