Seeking a Family Support Educator (field-based) to provide expert patient education and support for the Rett community in the Seattle, WA;
Portland, OR; and Boise, .

Responsibilities:
  • Provide disease state, product, and therapy management education in consumer-friendly language to Rett families/caregivers and, when appropriate, care teams (in-person, telephonic, and virtual).
  • Assess individual patient/caregiver needs and provide ongoing education and resources across the patient journey.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across a multi-state territory (Marketing, Sales, Patient Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, etc.).
  • Develop tools/resources with internal stakeholders to address educational gaps and improve therapy management.
  • Demonstrate expertise in disease/product knowledge and Acadia Customer Support Programs (Hub, Patient Assistance, ambassador speaker programs).
  • Moderate/lead caregiver speaker programs and attend community events; conduct reactive in-service to physician offices.
  • Identify leadership opportunities and provide mentorship/training for team members.
Education &

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in life sciences preferred; RN/MSN/MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant healthcare/pharma experience with 2+ years in patient support/education (Senior: 8 years with 5+ years).
  • Rare disease and field healthcare environment experience strongly preferred;
    Medicaid/Medicare, product launch, advocacy preferred.
Required/Preferred

Skills:
  • Patient/caregiver education, advocacy, account management (preferred); strong cross-functional collaboration; leading without authority.
  • Strong interpersonal, empathetic listening, emotional intelligence; excellent communication and presentation; strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • HIPAA knowledge; manage budgets; travel up to 70%; meet vaccination requirements.
