Hospice Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a Part time Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary hospice team. This flexible, on-call role is ideal for a licensed OT who is passionate about enhancing quality of life through therapeutic support. You will provide in-home care to hospice patients, helping them maintain comfort, independence, and dignity in their own environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Provide therapeutic interventions to support mobility, safety, and function
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment
Collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and physicians
Document services and progress in accordance with hospice standards
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and holistic care planning

Qualifications:

Current Washington State license as an Occupational Therapist
Minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in hospice, palliative care, or geriatrics
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
Compassionate approach to end-of-life care
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes or facilities
