This position encompasses both Associate Medical Assistant and Medical Assistant roles, with responsibilities tailored to qualifications.
Under the delegation of a licensed practitioner, duties include providing basic patient care through clinical and administrative tasks, following established policies and regulations.
Associate Medical Assistant assists with patient care, performs clinical skills such as vital signs, injections, and medication administration, and maintains certification requirements.
Medical Assistant performs all MA I duties, with full competency in clinical functions, and may take on additional responsibilities as delegated.
Key duties include obtaining vital signs, administering injections, medication management, and supporting patient needs in a clinical setting.
Qualifications And Skills- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program, registered apprenticeship, or military medical training.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience, including vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification required upon hire; BLS certification within 30 days.
- Preferred: experience with Electronic Health Records and additional certification (e.g., National Medical Assistant Certification).
- Roles involve clinical support and patient care in a fast-paced environment.
