The UW Medicine - Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology in Seattle, WA has a fantastic opportunity for a Phlebotomist with the Specimen Processing Team at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) –Northwest.

As a phlebotomist, you will serve our patient community directly by performing blood draws and providing instruction on proper collection of urine specimens. Additionally, you will support students and new employees by providing orientation and training, in addition to other duties outlined below.
Work schedule:- Per Diem
- To be discussed with hiring Manager
- Day Shift
- Prepare patient andcollectionequipment.
- Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages.
- Instruct patients on proper collection of urine specimens.
- Perform laboratory testing procedures.
- Interact with patient sand their families,as well as departmental and hospital staff.
- Assistin the orientation and training of students and new employees
- Perform related duties as required.
- High school graduation AND completion of a phlebotomy course.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
- Legal Requirement:
Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy Certification (MA-P) with the Washington State Department of Health ORobtainthe MA-P within
60 daysof start date.
