Job Description
Our Emergency Department at UW Medical Center-Montlake has an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider to see patients in the Fast-Track stream of care as well as exposing them to high acuity challenging patients.
The ED Advanced Practice Provider is a member of the inter-professional team that includes attending physicians, residents, pharmacists, medical and pharmacy students and registered nurses.
DESCRIPTION- Evaluate and treat acute and minor illnesses and injuries presenting to the ED.
- Serve as backup for Campus Health for employees with blood-borne exposures or job-related injury.
- Function independently in our vertical care area.
- Minor procedures including but not limited to laceration repair, incision and drainage of abscesses, splint applications, etc.
- Proficient assessment of emergent/urgent complaints to determine complexity and stability of patients.
- Functioning as a member of a multi-disciplinary health care team within the Emergency Department.
- Close collaboration with academic Emergency Medicine attending physicians to provide excellent care to a complex patient population at our tertiary referral center.
- 30 hrs./ week
- Evening shift
- Current and unencumbered license as an Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)
OR Physician Assistants (PA) in the state of Washington - ARNP must have a WA state RN license to practice or MSL
- Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing (ARNP) or a accredited program for Physician Assistant studies (PA)
- Must be board certified; ARNP certified by ANCC or AAPP; PA certified from NCCAP
- ED Fellowship trained or equivalent ED/Urgent Care experience.
- PA candidates:
Emergency Medicine CAQ - BLS,ACLS and PALS certification.

Evening Shift differential $3.00/hr Weekend $4.00/hr
