Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist (OT) | School-Based Help students participate, grow, and thrive.

Thrive Therapies Group is looking for Occupational Therapists to join our growing Washington team and help K-12 students build the skills they need to participate more fully and independently at school.

You’ll have the opportunity to make an impact beyond the therapy session, with clinical collaboration, technology, and a multidisciplinary team supporting your work.

Help students strengthen fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and functional participation in the classroom and school environment.

Collaborate with educators, families, SLPs, PTs, school psychologists, behavioral specialists, and special education teams.

Thrive provides AI-supported documentation tools to help streamline service logs and progress notes.

Help shape classroom supports, sensory strategies, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications that can make a difference throughout a student's school day.

• Conduct school-based OT evaluations and re-evaluations
• Develop individualized, functional IEP goals
• Provide individual and small-group occupational therapy
• Support fine motor, sensory, self-care, and classroom participation needs
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
• Consult with teachers and paraprofessionals on accommodations and strategies
• Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary school teams
• Maintain accurate service documentation and progress notes

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
• NBCOT certification (OTR) in good standing
• Active Washington OT license, or documented initiation of licensure transfer
• Knowledge of IDEA, the IEP process, and the educational model of occupational therapy
• School-based experience, sensory integration training, and experience with AAC or assistive technology are preferred.
