To learn more about us, visit  Impact Advisors is seeking an experienced and motivated Revenue Cycle Director to lead the end-to-end revenue cycle operations for a medical group, including patient access, charge capture, coding coordination, claims submission, payment posting, denial management, accounts receivable, patient collections, and revenue cycle reporting.

This role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure accurate, compliant, timely, and efficient revenue capture while supporting strong financial performance, payer relationships, physician alignment, and a positive patient financial experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all revenue cycle functions across the medical group, including registration, eligibility verification, authorizations, coding workflows, billing, collections, denials, payment posting, credits, refunds, and patient financial services.
  • Develop and execute revenue cycle strategies that improve cash flow, reduce days in accounts receivable, lower denial rates, increase net collection rates, and strengthen overall financial performance.
  • Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators, including days in A/R, clean claim rate, denial rate, charge lag, payment lag, aging by payer, point-of-service collections, bad debt, and productivity metrics.
  • Partner with physicians, practice administrators, finance, compliance, coding, credentialing, contracting, IT, and operations leaders to address revenue leakage and workflow barriers.
  • Ensure billing, coding, claims, collections, and documentation processes comply with federal and state regulations, payer requirements, HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payer policies, and internal compliance standards.
  • Oversee denial prevention and resolution programs, including root‑cause analysis, appeal strategies, payer trend reporting, and corrective action plans.
  • Direct payer issue escalation, reimbursement analysis, contract performance monitoring, and collaboration with managed care or contracting teams.
  • Lead revenue cycle system optimization, workflow redesign, automation initiatives, reporting enhancements, and implementation of new tools or technology.
  • Prepare executive‑level reports, financial analyses, dashboards, forecasts, and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Develop policies, procedures, training materials, audit processes, and internal controls to standardize revenue cycle operations across locations and specialties.
  • Manage, coach, and develop revenue cycle managers, supervisors, analysts, and staff; set performance expectations and promote accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and manage vendor relationships, including billing partners, clearinghouses, collection agencies, technology vendors, and outsourced service providers.
  • Support budgeting, staffing models, resource planning, productivity standards, and workforce development for the revenue cycle department.
  • Identify operational risks, financial trends, and opportunities for process improvement, then lead cross‑functional initiatives to improve revenue integrity and patient satisfaction.
  • Travel to client site as needed, anticipated to be 25%.
