Department DescriptionThe Digestive Health Center at UW Medical Center – Montlake in Seattle offers a full range of consultations, diagnostic testing, and procedures for digestive system and liver diseases, from common conditions to complex cases requiring advanced treatment.
Conditions We Treat- Ongoing or recurring abdominal pain
- Abdominal pain and acid reflux/gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Swallowing difficulties
- Celiac disease and other nutrition related disorders
- Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) – Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
- Disorders of the pancreas and bile ducts
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other motility problems
- Surveillance of precancerous conditions such as Barrett’s esophagus or intestinal metaplasia of the stomach
- Evaluate Abdominal or belly pain
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea or constipation
- Acid reflux or heartburn
- Difficulty swallowing
- Endoscopy Services Upper endoscopy (EGD) – examines the esophagus, stomach, and upper small intestine
- Colonoscopy – used for diagnosis and colorectal cancer screening
- Advanced procedures Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) for pancreas and bile ducts
- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) for detailed internal imaging
Full spectrum gastroenterology care, including advanced endoscopic procedures and screening for precancerous conditions such as Barrett’s esophagus. Make an appointment Returning patients book in MyChart Find another location Manage appointment
PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging
- Scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments
- Obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information
- Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery
- Other duties as requested
- High school graduation or equivalent AND One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR An equivalent combination of education/experience
