The opportunity
Sensibly Sprouted is hiring a Registered Dietitian Manager to build and lead a team of dietitians providing outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT). You'll play a central role in interviewing and selecting team members, coach their development, and shape how your team delivers care.
This is a developmental management role for dietitians ready to move into formal people leadership. Prior management experience is not required.
Internally, this position is called Junior Lead. You'll report to the Chief Dietetics Officer and have management authority from day one. The broader leadership team will support you as you handle increasingly complex team, financial, and operational decisions. Your focus is team leadership; you may provide patient care when needed, but the role has no fixed caseload.
What You'll Do- Take a lead role in interviewing, selecting, and onboarding dietitians as you build your team.
- Coach and develop team members, set expectations, give feedback, and address performance concerns.
- Own team revenue, profitability, retention, and productive capacity; use performance data to identify risks and take action.
- Reinforce clinical, documentation, scheduling, and operational standards, partnering with Clinical Excellence on training needs.
- Manage team workflows and priorities, involving senior leadership when decisions require their input.
- A Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
- Applicable state licensure, or eligibility to obtain required licensure.
- Demonstrated ability to coach others, lead initiatives, and improve team performance. A prior manager title is not required.
- Sound judgment, clear communication, dependable follow-through, and comfort using performance data to guide decisions.
- Residence in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Utah, or willingness to relocate to one of these states.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Your growth
Junior Lead provides support and feedback as you gain experience with increasingly complex leadership situations. Advancement to Lead is the expected next step after at least four quarters, once you demonstrate sustained Lead-level capability and performance. When you advance, your base pay moves into the Lead salary range.
