Join a leading cardiology clinic specializing in electrophysiology, where you will play a vital role supporting patient care and clinical operations. This temporary-to-permanent Medical Assistant position offers opportunities to work in a dynamic clinical environment, with a focus on cardiology procedures and patient interactions, in a regionally located healthcare setting. If you are an experienced medical assistant with cardiology exposure, your skills will contribute to improving patient outcomes and enhancing clinic workflows.

– Assist healthcare providers with patient exams and procedures in a cardiology setting, focusing on electrophysiology care.

– Prepare exam rooms, ensure the proper setup of equipment, and assist with heart monitor placement.

– Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, chart preparation, and data entry within electronic health records, particularly EPIC.

– Support post-operative patient calls and follow-up communication, ensuring accurate documentation.

– Manage medication refills and assist with administrative tasks like chart prep and inbasket help.

– Contribute to a team effort by floating within scope to different clinics, if needed, to meet clinical demands.

– Ensure compliance with all safety and clinical protocols while maintaining a patient-centered approach.

– At least 6 months of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.

– Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, with experience in EPIC preferred.

– Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient preparation procedures.

– Basic life support certification (BLS) is required.

– Ability to perform clinical tasks such as EKG placement, chart management, and patient communication.

– Reliable transportation to facilitate clinic travel and coverage of satellite locations if needed.

– Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred; MA-C is preferred, but MA-R candidates will be considered.

– Cardiology clinic or electrophysiology experience is highly desirable.

– Must be open to working Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with no weekend shifts required.

– Experience in primary care or related clinical environments is acceptable.

– Candidates should be willing to undergo a Level 2 background screening if required.

– The role involves some administrative tasks, including chart prep, refill processing, and tracking patient responses.

– Reliable, independent transportation is necessary; public transit is not sufficient.

– This position may require travel to satellite clinics within the region.
