- Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing
- Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems
- Send test requests to proper location and release test results
- Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquires
- Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities
- Provide support to various areas of the laboratory
- Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving
- Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 months or more specimen processing
- 6 months or more in a Clinical, Hospital, or Research Lab
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable with handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Well organized and a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- $21.30 to $28.00 hourly Plus 2nd shift differentials
- Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including:
Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. - Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
- Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
