Front Desk Agent – Hilton Seattle Airport and Conference Center

The Hilton at Seattle Airport & Conference Center is a 396‑room property located across the street from Seattle‑Tacoma International Airport. The hotel is within walking distance to the airport terminal via a sky bridge opposite the hotel.

Responsibilities

As a Guest Services Agent, you will be responsible for greeting and registering guests and checking guests out to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Your tasks include:

  • Greet guests and complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest information and room rates, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet, and ensuring the guest knows the room’s location or that a bell person accompany them.
  • Assist guests with check‑out, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, using the point‑of‑sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment, converting foreign currency, making change, and processing gift certificates and cards.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information, including room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area and other general product knowledge and answer guest questions and inquiries.
  • Use up‑selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and to maximize room occupancy.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Field guest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
  • Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests.
Upselling Incentive Program

Commission‑based program paid out monthly based on upsell revenue generated at guest check‑out. Commission rates:

  • $1‑$499 : 5% commission
  • $500‑$999 : 10% commission
  • $1,000 or more : 15% commission
Qualifications
  • At least one year of customer service experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with English‑speaking guests.
  • Previous experience in a hotel front desk role is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, point of sale system, and telephone.
Job Classification

Classification: Full‑Time

Shift Pattern: Full availability (AM, PM and overnight shifts); weekends and holidays required.

Hourly Rate: $24.39, increasing to $27.10 after 90 days of employment.
