The Director of Sales & Marketing oversees all Sales, Events, and Marketing operations for Hotel Sorrento. This senior leadership role partners with the General Manager and hotel leadership to drive revenue, strengthen brand presence, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. The DOSM is responsible for maximizing group, leisure, and event revenue; elevating ADR and occupancy; and developing strategic marketing initiatives that position the hotel as a market leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SALES
  • Develop and execute action plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the direct sales and events team.
  • Drive proactive prospecting, lead generation, and conversion across weddings, social, and corporate markets.
  • Conduct site visits, craft proposals, and maintain strong client relationships.
    • Oversee event planning and execution in partnership with Banquets, Culinary, and Operations.
  • Prepare accurate 30-60-90-day sales forecasts and reports.
  • Manage contracts, BEOs, billing, CRM documentation, and group room blocks.
MARKETING
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing plan and budget.
  • Lead digital strategy across website, social media, GDS, OTA media, and metasearch.
  • Strengthen brand visibility through PR efforts, partnerships, and online reputation management.
  • Drive multi-channel campaigns supporting rooms, restaurant, bar, and special event revenue.
  • Collaborate with marketing partners and internal teams to ensure alignment and execution.
REVENUE & STRATEGY
  • Partner with revenue management to optimize pricing, segmentation, and inventory.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive performance to inform strategy
  • Ensure alignment to financial goals, identifying risks and opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Progressive hotel sales, marketing, and events leadership experience.
  • Strength in revenue strategy, segmentation, and digital marketing.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • High-energy leader with strong financial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with CRM, revenue, and hotel systems (Triple Seat, Revinate, Duetto, StayNTouch, Microsoft Office).
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred.
