Job Description
We’re hiring a full‑time Stewarding Supervisor to join our Stewarding team. Alongside the Executive Steward, you’ll help oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and assist where needed. You'll help ensure our Stewarding department is operating efficiently, safely, and effectively at the Seattle Convention Center while partnering with the Culinary and Catering Operations teams to support event operations and consistently maintain Aramark food safety and cleanliness standards for all culinary spaces and equipment.

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 to $33.00.

Job Responsibilities- Supervise the operation of the Stewarding department, train employees on proper cleaning methods and operation of the equipment.
- Ensure sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are being met in food and beverage spaces in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Partner with management to establish stewarding schedule needs.
- Implement Aramark’s training plan and communicate service goals to stewarding team.
- Direct the operation of the steward department through Lead Stewards and train employees on proper cleaning methods and operation of the equipment.
- Maintain weekly inventory levels accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all working surfaces are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
- Develop and implement a routine cleaning schedule.
- Positively contribute towards employee engagement and retention goals.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in basic computer skills such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment based on previous experience to solve problems.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of basic sanitation procedures.
- Ability to resolve interpersonal situations and maintain emotional control under stress.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to oversee 15-25 employees and assign tasks.
- Required to gain an extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment including but not limited to steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, and dishwashing equipment.
- Open to working event‑based hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
