* PRN/On Call Cooks do not have guaranteed hours and work on an as needed basis to cover call outs, vacancies, and staff on leave or vacation.

Shift Schedule

Day

Shift: 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Evening Shift: 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM

• Responsible for ongoing meal production and timely meal service
• Test new recipes
• Clean the kitchen; put away/organize food deliveries
• Assist with kitchen inspections as needed, to ensure the food service production area is safe and sanitary
• Inspect storage areas on a regular basis for proper temperatures, cleanliness, and organization

• Paid training provided at the start of employment and ongoing throughout your time with the company
• Access to the employee assistance program

• Applicants must have prior experience working in a professional or institutional kitchen environment such as a restaurant, hospital, senior living facility, or school cafeteria, etc.
• At least one year of cooking experience in a high-volume or bulk cooking environment is strongly preferred.
• Food Handler's Permit required
• High School diploma
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Willing to provide direction to cook-aides and dish-aides, as needed
• Possess a great attitude while providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service
• Passion to learn and grow within the cooking profession
