oRoom Attendant cleans guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the property’s established standards of cleanliness.

• Cleans guest rooms as assigned.
• Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Uses correct cleaning materials for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
• Transports cart with cleaning supplies, guest room amenities and linens to assigned guest room and secures position.
• Provides cleaning service according to assignment sheet: empties trash containers, removes all dirty terry and replaces with clean towels; replaces soiled bed sheets and makes bed with clean linen; cleans kitchen and sets lighting and thermostat to designated levels.
• Maintains positive guest relations.
• Resolves guest housekeeping complaints and ensures guest satisfaction.
• Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
• Maintains complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; uses equipment only as intended.
• Anticipates guests’ needs, responds promptly, and acknowledges all guests regardless of time of day.
• Becomes familiar with all services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
• Removes soil, dirt, soap build‑up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor.
• Replaces facial tissues, toilet tissue and bathroom amenities in correct amount and location.
• Updates status of rooms cleaned and turned down on assignment sheet or in the system.
• Returns and restocks cart at end of shift.
• Empties vacuum bag and wipes vacuum clean.
• Ensures security of any assigned guest room keys.
• Reports any damages or maintenance problems and turns over any lost and found items from guest rooms to the Manager.
• Makes up cribs and rollaway beds and re‑hangs/refolds clothes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
