EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain optimal function of the organization's HR information systems, including database management, network support, installation, customization, development, maintenance, and system upgrades.
- Manage internal database files, tables, codes, backup files, and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security.
- Install, implement, modify, and upgrade software and applications to meet evolving business and technology needs.
- Lead, support, and develop the HRIS team to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
- Develop, generate, deliver and assist with complex reports, summaries, and logs for management, HR team and other departments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy and regulatory reporting requirements, completing submissions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Leads the HRIS team in providing technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR team and employees throughout the organization.
- Partner with leadership, HR staff, and other departments to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommend and implement solutions.
- Manage permissions, access, personalization, and system settings for HR services users.
- Develop custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
- Manage the full lifecycle of HRIS projects, including planning, configuration, testing, deployment, integrations and post-implementation support for HR systems and the wind-down of legacy systems.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Minimum of 10 years of HRIS and data management experience, including at least 5 years in a people management role.
- Proven experience with enterprise-level HRIS platforms (Dayforce strongly preferred).
- HR experience in a large, multi-regional organization; global experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills. Power BI Experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, data management, best practices, and compliance standards (including GDPR and Quebec Law 25).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and present data to support decision-making.
- Ability to bring immediate credibility to the HRIS team through integrity, collaboration abilities, professional qualifications and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in written and spoken English. Proficient in written and spoken Spanish preferred.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Data Management Software and Data integration Platforms preferred.
- Industry experience in shipping, logistics, transportation, or maritime sectors preferred.
