Payroll Manager

Our client, a staple in the Seattle community, is looking to hire a Contract Payroll Manager ASAP! The Payroll Manager will manage end-to-end payroll operations for a multi-state workforce. This role owns payroll accuracy, compliance and will interact heavily with internal stakeholders.

• Manage full-cycle,
  multi-state payroll for salaried and hourly employees across multiple entities
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing using ADP (Workforce Now, Vantage, or similar)
• Oversee payroll tax filings, W-2s, garnishments, deductions, and year-end processes
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
• Serve as primary liaison with ADP and third-party payroll vendors
• Partner with HR, Finance, and Accounting on payroll changes, audits, and reconciliations
• Review and reconcile payroll reports, general ledger entries, and benefit deductions
• Develop, document, and improve payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Lead and mentor payroll staff (if applicable)
• Support internal and external audits related to payroll
• Manage payroll projects including system upgrades, acquisitions, or process automation
