Payroll Specialist

Looking for a part-time Payroll Specialist administering accurate, weekly payroll for unionized and non-union staff, ensuring strict adherence to Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs), labor laws, and wage scales. To process complex deductions (union dues, benefits, pension), manage certified payroll reports, and resolve discrepancies.

• Union Payroll Processing:Calculate and process weekly payroll for union employees, applying specific wage scales, prevailing wages, and overtime rules.
• Contract Interpretation:Interpret and apply multiple, complex Collective Bargaining Agreements to ensure pay compliance.
• Deductions & Reporting:Manage deductions for union dues, benefits, and pension contributions, and prepare required reports/remittances.
• Compliance:Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including Davis-Bacon Act and certified payroll reports for public entities.
• Data Accuracy:Maintain employee records, including wage changes, tax, and personal information.
• Discrepancy Resolution:Collaborate with union representatives, HR, and project managers to resolve payroll issues.

• Experience:1-3 years of payroll experience, specifically with union payroll and CBA interpretation.
• Knowledge:Deep understanding of union regulations, prevailing wage laws, prevailing wage reporting and payroll taxes.
