Our B.L.U.E. (Build, Learn, Understand, Enrich) Summer Internship Program is purposefully designed to inspire your imagination and help you guide your career with purpose. You'll be an integral part of McKinstry with hands-on experience, mentorship and a healthy dose of fun. Our program delivers depth and real experience so that you can truly evaluate potential career paths within the work we do.

We are looking for an HR Operations Intern to join our growing People team in Seattle, WA. As an HR Operations intern, you will be joining a team that is focused on creating a People First employee experience while being operationally excellent.

What we look for in an HR Operations Intern:

* Pursuing or having a degree in Human Resources, Communications, or Business preferred.

* Availability in Summer 2026 (May/June start until August/September depending on school); part-time availability after Summer preferred!

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and possess excellent follow-up skills.

* Must be self-motivated, able to multi‐task, and work independently.

* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.

* Must be 18 years of age or older.

What an HR Operations Intern is responsible for:

* Process pre-employment, new hire data entry, and other employee transactions in HRIS system.

* Maintain and update HR records including employee files, HRIS system records, and more.

* Support compliance efforts such as I9 compliance and labor law poster compliance.

* Provide general HR Service to employees in person and via email.

* Provide general administrative support for the HR Operations team.

* Support various project efforts. Other duties as assigned.

The hourly rate for this role is $22/hr.
