The Opportunity

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is adding an HR Generalist to our People Team. You'll provide hands‑on support across HR Operations and Recruiting. This role is ideal for a proactive HR professional who enjoys balancing tactical work with opportunities to support overall people strategy, improve processes, and help shape a positive employee experience in a fast‑paced corporate setting.

Position Summary

We’re looking for an HR Generalist with at least three years of corporate HR experience to support day‑to‑day HR operations and recruiting activities. You will report to our Director of People & Development and execute transactional HR tasks, help ensure compliance with employment law, handle confidential matters with discretion, and work both independently and as part of cross‑functional teams to meet tight deadlines.

Job Functions
  • Support HR Operations and Recruiting with transactional and tactical tasks (onboarding, data entry, offer letters, scheduling, applicant tracking support).
  • Maintain and update HR records and systems accurately and confidentially.
  • Apply working knowledge of employment law to routine HR processes and escalate complex issues.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with candidates, employees, and managers (written and verbal).
  • Prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Use MS Outlook and MS Teams daily to coordinate and collaborate.
  • Assist with basic HR reporting and ad‑hoc analytics to support decision‑making.
  • Manage sensitive employee issues with strict confidentiality and good judgment.
  • Resolve routine employee questions and conflicts; elevate when necessary.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a corporate environment.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance basics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Proficient with MS Outlook and MS Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ADP and Oracle
  • Experience with Taleo or other applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience with Asana is a plus!
