TITLE:
Leave and Benefits Analyst

SALARY & FLSA: $31.37 - $47.05 per hour; FLSA non-exempt

SUMMARY

This position will provide support, administration, and implementation of all benefit, leave, and ADA programs. Coordinate HRIS functions as it relates to benefits and leave administration. Provides customer service to employees and managers for various P&C programs and partners with the P&C team to assist with employee life cycle activities.

Leaves of absence (including FMLA), disability, worker’s compensation and accommodations
  • Answer questions, provide support, resolve issues for employees and managers in relation to leave and disability programs and accommodations.
  • Perform timekeeping audits for accurate leave and time records.
  • Respond to state and 3rd party administrators for worker’s compensation claims management and related.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of leave policies and procedures and ensure they are communicated effectively to employees.
  • Provide managers and employees with continuing education and support concerning leaves of absence.
  • Complete required reporting and posting related to labor and OSHA regulations.
Benefits programs (medical, dental, life/AD&D, FSA, HRA, commute, retirement, COBRA)
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollments, changes, and.
  • HRIS set-up and support of benefit events such as annual open enrollment and life events.
  • Coordinate with external benefits partner for benefit materials and issue escalation.
  • Review and audit enrollment in external carrier systems.
  • Prepare and distribute informational materials regarding benefits programs, policies and procedures.
  • Work with the Payroll Specialist to reconcile monthly insurance billings, enrollment and payroll deductions. Ensure accurate recordkeeping and billing relative to eligibility, current status, change, and.
  • Assist with the management, decision-making, and execution of open enrollment annually.
ADA Accommodations
  • Administrator ADA requirements and remain educated regarding ADA Laws and regulations.
  • Review any accommodation requests that result from the application process, employee, or manager reach-out.
  • Engage with employees through the interactive ADA process, enabling a qualified individual with a disability to perform the essential functions of a job.
  • Partner with managers, leaders, and partners to keep all parties informed and educated.
  • Partner with the organization to ensure employees with a disability can enjoy equal benefits and privileges of employment.
Health Events
  • Interpret and execute federal, state, and local health agency guidance in response to pandemics or other major health events.
  • Perform thorough contact tracing on reported possible or actual pandemic illness exposures.
  • Create, update, organize and maintain physical and electronic files and directories, to ensure information is accessible and up to date.
  • Assist in the creation of written and oral communications including zoo-wide staff emails, procedural documentation, policies, forms, employee facing webpages, PowerPoint presentations, and other organizational resources.
P&C Shared Services
